Thank you in advance for taking the time during your busy day to participate in this important process. We hope to be able to provide you with opportunities to succeed in business in Nevada by implementing changes that will specifi cally assist small businesses to compete in a state, national and international marketplace. We are embarking with the assistance of local Chambers of Commerce and Development Authorities on an effort to gather information on small businesses in our state (as defined by having fewer than 100 employees) to create a more friendly atmosphere for small business in Nevada. Small business is the backbone of America and Nevada. Approximately 98% of businesses in our state are small businesses. It is imperative as we move into the future that we recognize the importance of our dynamic small business community and protect it. Some of the questions below are of a personal nature and we want to assure you that none of the data collected will ever be released in an identifi able format. Only the combined answers of you and your fellow business owners here in Nevada will ever be seen by anyone other than the one or two administrators of the survey.
